Central Memorial Hospital was started in 1987 with two blocks which are now tripled in size and the initial twenty bed capacity more than doubled as well. The institution has grown into one of the largest private hospital in Central Kenya. The hospital started with twenty members of the staff but it has currently sixty three employees and over ten part-timers and a host of visiting consultants and physicians.
Since its inception the hospital has grown immensely in infrastructure and it boasts itself with several facilities. They include;
Out-Patient Department
The Out-patient department is a large area with patient waiting/resting area, four consulting rooms, observation room, administration room, administration personnel and accounts department.
In-patient Department
Central Memorial Hospital in-patient has 47 bed capacity placed in various wards. The wards include-: HDU, Maternity ward, General Male Ward, General Female Ward and Private Rooms. The wards are well equipped with Hydraulic beds.
